WCA Waste makes three acquisitions
WCA Waste Corp. (WCA), Houston, has acquired three solid waste collection firms in the Midwest and South Atlantic regions of the U.S. in the first half of 2017.
In February, WCA acquired the assets of Midwest Cos. Inc., a municipal solid waste (MSW) transfer station and collection operation in Marshall, Missouri. In March, the company acquired EnviroStar Waste Service Inc., a residential, commercial and roll-off collection company in the eastern suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri. In May, WCA acquired the commercial collection accounts of Community Waste Services in Gainesville, Florida.
“We are excited about the addition of these new employees and customers as they will enhance WCA’s operations in our Kansas City and Gainesville markets and reinforce WCA’s existing collection network,” Bill Caesar, CEO of WCA, says. “The combination of these businesses will allow us to serve our customers more efficiently while reinforcing our focus on providing safe and superior customer service.”
